  1. As a UF student, this was quite informative. In the last article I believe that students can have the problem too. If teaching was dropped in this ranking, it may affect the education for students. The first article about RTS was interesting. I thought a lot of students still use the bus because it is convenient. Not only does the RTS company have the problem, but the city does too. This definitely bumps up the scooter and bicycle companies.
I don't know why anyone would stop to feed a bear! thats insane and ignorant.

You picked great articles to write about (:

  2. Hi Shelby!
I also saw the RTS article and was surprised more students weren’t taking advantage of the bus system. Although, Gainesville is swamped with scooters so I shouldn’t have been so surprised. Personally, I hope ridership increases so traffic wouldn’t be as crazy as it is. I was particularly interested in the article about UF dropping in global ranking. It is odd that the university has dropped twice consecutively in global ranking and is unsure why. I would have thought the university would have been quick to analyze and pinpoint the reason for the drop the first year it happened. As you said the drop impacts the reputation of the university and its students education so I hope they research into this issue.
